Adilene Briceno first passion academically was teaching. She received her Associates Degree from Triton College, in Early Childhood Education. Her dream was to become a teacher, but somewhere along the line that changed when she began working at a Dental Office when she was eighteen. She learned how to run the front desk, assist the doctor, and eventually manage the office. She soon realized she found a new love and the passion that came with helping patients. Looking for more of a challenge personally, she went on to work at Midwestern University as a Dental Assistant. Always one to push herself to pursue her goals she went on to attend Fox College as a Dental Hygiene Student. She just recently graduated and was one of the top students. While there, she had seen the most patients and served as a mentor. Her research project was used by the school when they made their accreditation presentation. She volunteered at Willow Creek Church and the Veterans Hospital in Chicago.
Adilene is originally from Zacatecas, Mexico but her family moved when she was young to California where she lived until she was ten. Then her family moved to Chicago. Adilene and her husband have been married for two and half years and although they don’t have any kids yet, they have an adorable Siberian Husky named Max. Adilene enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and working out. This October she’ll be running her first Chicago Marathon. She is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.
